You can’t skate under the radar when you want to get major attention to your brand.

That’s just a fact.

There is no cheaping out by doing a full DIY job on your book. People just know.

They can tell if it doesn’t fit with your brand or genre, even if they can’t quite explain what it is that isn’t working.

And they can definitely tell if your message is just thrown together and the cover is hurried.

And don’t get me started on books that look like chick lit when they are business books.

The truth is that you need to invest in your success so you can use that book to pitch bigger media outlets.

Let’s just be honest, The TODAY Show isn’t going to let you on with a book that has a free stock photo as the cover.
